I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy time with your friends and family. This year is a first for me…I am hosting Christmas dinner at my place so there is lots of planning and organizing to do. I can’t wait to see what kind of handmade goodness awaits me under the tinsel tree!

When I saw these jewelry delights on etsy this morning I flipped! Each piece is oh so sweet and really captures the feeling of the season. The first is the Snowy Weather Necklace by Daphne of Brooklyn, NY. All of her pieces are handmade in her home studio. She also has Rainy and Stormy Necklaces available.

The second item is the Snow Ball Pendant by themusesjewels. The latest addition to my Mod Cup collection the necklace is made with a white felted wool ball and sterling silver.

It’s time to start thinking of what you want to be wearing when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st. In my opinion it’s gotta be a dress even though it’s bound to be freezing. After all you can always pair your frock with some warm tights and boots.

Fisk and Fern is a small card and household goods company based in Brooklyn and Philadelphia. The Fisk side focuses on printmaking, with a focus on silkscreening and linoleum block printing. The Fern side works in magazine collage, building intricate and whimsical designs. Their styles range from the scientific to the surreal and fun.

I am loving the Moleskine Notebooks! They are silkscreened with radiolaria, pyramid cells and bolivia robusta! All were inspired by 1960’s science encyclopedias, this design is part of a printed series called bio 101.

Even as a young boy, Mr Smuttons always dreamed of a world where fox hounds spoke the kings English, cornbread was not only made of corn but also of rosemary and sage and where one could sport a lovely pair of breasts on his jacket lapel. But how could he go about this? Buttons!

One inch, colorful, bare-breasted buttons! And so it was, Mr. Smuttons created his first smutton. When strangers would lean in to take a closer look, Mr. Smuttons would revel in the unique reactions that occurred in one of three ways:

1)people bashfully turned away after catching an eye full and then quickly changed the subject of conversation
2)humor,intrigue and appreciation for such a fab idea or
3)people who don’t even speak Spanish yelling at the top of their lungs, “mamacita!”.
