Spring Bags

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

I know that right now there is snow on the ground many places but that just makes me long for the warm days of Spring even more. When the warm weather is upon us I always find myself wanting a new bag that will go with the shades and mood of the season. Usually something with flowers and in pretty, girly shapes and colors.

Vintage Pick : March 19th

Monday, March 19th, 2007

This week my vintage picks come from the one and only Mama Stone Vintage. Mama is one of the top vintage sellers on ebay. The models, photos and of course the clothing keep shoppers wanting more. Right now there are two amazing finds in the store. The Orange Mod Space Age Mini Dress and the Gold Knit Tunic Dress. Both are sooo gorgeous but the orange dress is a vintage lovers dream, so 1960’s and fabulous.

Both items end tomorrow and Mama adds over 50 items to the ebay store every week, so check back often!

Owls!

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Last week I discovered fruitflypie’s etsy shop. It is filled with tons of handmade goodies from baby clothing to houswares. When I saw the ceramics section I flipped! Owls in every color of the rainbow!

owl_01.jpg owl_02.jpg

Each owl is handmade using a vintage 1970’s mold. There is a hole in the top which makes it great for so many uses. It could be used as a vase, toothbrush holder or a planter. One of mine is already gracing my desk as a pencil holder while the other awaits a flower on my kitchen window sill. At only $8 per owl I suggest everyone go over to Wendy’s etsy shop and buy one!
