Midnight Firefly’s spring collection of strictly limited edition, one-off pieces uses delicate pastel colors in a new way, representing a season full of rebirth and rejuvenation. Color is highly important to designer Allison Biggs. For spring, she has created a range that evokes “the fresh green of new leaves, the pale blue of melting streams and cloudless skies and the pink tones of spring’s first blooms.” This is achieved by a creative use of classic semi precious materials such as amethyst and jade in conjunction with more unusual choices like deep blue sodalite, keishi pearls, redwood and moonstone. It is Allison’s artistic approach to jewelry design that has made her designs so popular with those looking for something that you simply can’t buy in stores. “I try to look at things with a different perspective than the usual,” she explains, “I look for very unique items that you could never buy retail.”
