Started in February 2005, Indieshopping.com is a magazine-style website dedicated to spreading news about emerging and independent designers. We are very much a mixture of blog and magazine focusing on handmade and indie creations. While the main site includes a shopping directory and contests the blog is updated daily and is full of reviews, interviews, articles and exclusive sales. We encourage you to shop outside the mainstream!

About the Editor

Anissa Mook is the editor-in-chief and is also the owner of Femminastyle.com, an online boutique featuring vintage and handmade fashion, as well as IndieBuzz PR. She began her career in the fashion and marketing industry as a fashion merchandising student at San Francisco's Academy of Art College. Her devotion to small and independent business has led her to become a driving force in the indie fashion industry.

When 23 year old Anissa isn't blogging or maintaining her other sites she knits, reads way too many magazines and indulges in her thrifting habit.

Our webmaster, Shayne is the owner of Parrish Web Design, a web development firm that designs for many businesses in their area. He also works with IndieBuzz PR to offer affordable Web design to indie businesses and musicians.
